Al-Tanaim Mosque
Al-Tanaim Mosque, or Sayyida Aisha Mosque, is one of the mosques of Mecca. It is located in the western part of Mecca, at a distance of 7 km from the Holy Mosque of Mecca, and from it the people of Mecca perform Umrah. It gained its fame because it was built in the place where the Mother of the Believers, Aisha bint Abu Bakr, entered ihram for Umrah during the Farewell Hajj in the year 9 AH.
Label
Some narrations state that the reason it was given this name is because it is located between two mountains, the right of which is Yes, and the left of which is Na’im.
the description
It was built at the location where the narrations mentioned that Aisha, may God be pleased with her, performed Umrah from him after the Farewell Hajj with her brother Abd al-Rahman because she was unable to perform Umrah on arrival. In Sahih Muslim, on the authority of Aisha, may God be pleased with her, she said: “We went out with the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, in the year of Hajj.” Farewell, so we performed the Umrah. Then the Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, said: Whoever has a sacrificial animal should perform the Hajj with the Umrah, and then it is not permissible until he performs both of them. She said: So I came to Mecca while I was menstruating, and I did not circumambulate the House nor between Safa and Marwah, so I complained about that to the Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, and he said: Leave your hair, comb your hair, and my family for Hajj and leave Umrah. She said, so I did. When we completed Hajj, the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, sent me to Tan’im, so I performed Umrah, and he said: This is the place for your Umrah.
Building
The mosque was built during the reign of Caliph Al-Mutawakkil in the year 240 AH on an area of 6,000 square meters. Most of its parts were later demolished, then it was rebuilt and its area expanded until its total area became 84,000 square meters, including its facilities.

The mosque became famous by the name of Mrs. Aisha, may God be pleased with her, because she entered ihram from the place where the mosque was built during the Farewell Hajj in the year 9 AH.
The place was associated with the killing of Khubayb bin Adi, one of the six Muslims sent by the Messenger, may God bless him and grant him peace, in the third year of the Hijra in response to a request from Rahat from Hudhayl to teach them matters of Islam and reading the Qur’an. His killing occurred after the Battle of Uhud and the Quraysh were still angry. The Quraysh took Khubayb out after he was captured. He looked at him and said: “Oh God, count them in number, kill them in a prolonged manner, and do not leave any of them alone.” Then he was killed, may God be pleased with him.
On the night of the Night Journey and Mi’raj in the month of Rajab in the year sixty-four AH, Abdullah bin Al-Zubair went out with the people of Mecca to Tan’im. So they entered into ihram for the purpose of Umrah after completing the construction of the Holy Kaaba.
